Responsibilities
- Subsidiary Support:
Assist with providing safe and healthy working conditions and ensure the OH&S management system conforms to ISO 45001:2018; monitor and report performance using key figures; ensure engagement reviews and quality assurance for all KUS engagements; consult with Safety Compliance leadership to align policies; mentor the Safety Coordinator; identify proactive OH&S solutions; review OHS deliverables and collaborate with OHS leadership; develop and maintain OHS practices and strategic objectives;
engage in the development of OHS software-based support and tools. - Compliance:
Oversee planning and management of KUS OHS initiatives including compliance systems; assist senior management in fulfilling legal and other OH&S requirements. - Training & Maintenance:
Drive continuous improvement and training to meet legal OH&S and ISO 45001 requirements; provide OH&S training programs and address risks and opportunities; establish and maintain processes for employee consultation and participation across levels. - Internal Systems:
Lead continual improvement of the OH&S Management System; integrate OH&SMS requirements into KUS business systems; maintain controlled documentation related to OHSMS. - Communication:
Keep leadership informed of OHS changes; communicate service-related information to line managers; provide guidance on best-value OHS services; coordinate with KUS Resident managers to ensure standard compliance locally and corporately; raise health and safety awareness among employees and stakeholders. - Technical Expertise:
Deliver an effective OHS management system aligned with KAG leadership; apply worldwide standards across departments. - Leadership:
Own the OH&S Management System and policies in compliance with ISO 45001; participate in management reviews; champion safety excellence and drive implementation of new ideas. - Teamwork:
Foster a collaborative approach across practice areas; encourage consultation and participation of employees and workers’ representatives; maintain regular cross-departmental communication. - Stakeholder Management:
Communicate with colleagues to identify needs and evaluate solutions; expand internal and external knowledge of health and safety practices; maintain customer relationships; resolve OHS issues at senior levels. - Innovator Development:
Participate in service contracts and enforce OHS policies; review management evaluations for consistency; guide OHS development of subsidiary service managers and senior managers; assign tasks to ensure compliance. - Internal Operation:
Review status reports of OHS incidents; provide internal expertise; enforce standard OHS policies and communicate controls from investigations across the organization.
- OSHA 500 (Construction) and/or OSHA 501 (General Industry); OSHA 30 may be considered with demonstrable OHS experience.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and applicable safety laws.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems.
- Ability to analyze safety data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Overtime as required
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one; travel up to 75%
