LocationIn-office role based in Kennesaw, GA, USA.
ScheduleFull-time exempt role requires minimum 30 hours per week for benefits eligibility, with expected average of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
About The JobThe TL Operations Manager leads and develops a team of Operations Representatives responsible for day-to-day truckload shipment execution for Odyssey’s brokerage customers. In this role, you’ll oversee operational performance, ensure shipment accuracy and visibility, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, provide outstanding customer communication, and drive compliance with operational standards. This position is critical in maintaining service quality, resolving escalations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily execution of customer shipments including rating, routing, booking, and tendering.
- Ensure timely tracking and tracing of shipments and proper milestone updates in the TMS.
- Monitor accuracy and timely upload of shipment documentation (BOL, POD, accessorials).
- Escalate uncovered or at-risk loads to Carrier Sales within 12 hours of pickup.
- Serve as an escalation point for shipment updates.
- Set communication standards for team outreach on delays, exceptions, and resolution plans.
- Ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries and requests.
- Partner with Account Managers to execute customer SOPs and maintain service-level agreements.
- Direct recovery efforts during service failures.
- Uphold 15-minute issue identification and response standards until resolution.
- Partner with internal teams to execute corrective actions.
- Enforce timely and accurate shipment recordkeeping in the TMS.
- Validate rating, contracts, and routing guides for compliance.
- Provide reporting and shipment summaries to customers or internal partners.
- Support claims and billing discrepancy resolution within defined SLAs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and guide a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver professional customer service.
- Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Knowledge of LTL, truckload, and multimodal freight solutions preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
