Job SummaryThe Marketing Technology Specialist provides hands‑on support of Planet's digital marketing strategy via planning, execution, management, testing and analysis of marketing campaigns with the goal to increase engagement, response, and lead generation opportunities. This is a Technology role which requires an in-depth understanding of customer journeys & marketing automation techniques. This candidate must be able to present intelligent campaign recommendations to the business through the analysis of customer behavior, forehand knowledge of marketing automation functionality and system capabilities/limitations, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues when they arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handles day-to-day build, management and deployment of email campaigns and lead generation initiatives with focus on accurate and timely reporting.
- Does not build collateral but holds this knowledge to lead and support others as they build. Candidate will build/test/verify all personalization connections drawing data from the CRM.
- Understands the relationship of the data model across the Mar Tech stack and how to pull cross-system data into content for segmentation & personalized communication.
- Develops and implements tracking and marketing attribution components for end-to-end measurement of multi-channel marketing efforts
- Partners with Marketing to plan, implement, and manage our digital marketing strategies specific to Email and Lead Generation on their behalf ultimately increasing brand awareness and driving traffic.
- Identifies opportunities, trends and insights, and makes recommendations for optimization and new campaign development based on prior campaign results & customer behavior.
- Monitors analytics within digital media campaigns to identify actionable strategies and feedback.
- Builds and tests marketing automation workflows within the Mar Tech stack.
- Aids in the development of new fields, forms, and Marketing collateral in the CRM & marketing automation platforms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in marketing, technology-related or other business-related field
- Digital Marketing experience in the mortgage or financial industry preferred
- Proven experience with developing and executing email marketing campaigns preferred
- Broad understanding of digital marketing strategies, techniques, and tools – including ability to work within marketing automation platforms to efficiently and quickly execute complex audience-based digital marketing campaigns through multiple channels including online advertising, email marketing, websites, and landing pages.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and recurring responsibilities
- Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Clear written communication skills and ability to maintain professional documentation
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and proactive in monitoring work and resolving issues
- Base‑level understanding of coding HTML/HTML5 using CSS; JSON knowledge a plus
- Working experience using the following software (or equivalents):
- Customer Relationship Management systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Hub Spot)
- Landing page & form builders (Word Press, Unbounce)
