As a Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the designing of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge on larger and moderately more complex projects.

• Design and program building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
• Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation.
• Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information.
• Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions.
• Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems.
• Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation.
• Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met.
• Identify and communicate project opportunities and risks.
• Support functional testing for building systems.

• Bachelor’s degree OR Associate Degree with 2+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and/or HVAC controls experience
• Or High School Diploma with 4+ years of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and/or HVAC controls experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
• Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
• Working knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools;
  Automated Logic suites preferred.
• Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
• Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
• Experience with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software.
• Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.
• Experience with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Teams, One Note, etc.
• Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs.

The specific benefits available to any employee may vary depending on state and local laws and eligibility factors, such as date of hire and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.

Pay Range: The annual salary for this position is $80,750–$113,250. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
