Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Teacher Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership, with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach graduate courses in Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership.
- Scholarship/Research – Engage in a variety of scholarly activities and research commensurate with the department, college, and university tenure and promotion guidelines and workload.
- Professional Service – Provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession commensurate with rank and workload.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Teacher Leadership, Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Experience as a P‑12 teacher leader (academic/instructional coach, department chair, assistant principal, principal, district roles).
- Evidence of scholarship/creative activities.
- Evidence of collaborative and collegial engagement with colleagues and students.
- Leadership experiences such as dealing with budgets, hiring, retention, supervision, instructional leadership, etc.
- Experience teaching/designing graduate courses in online or hybrid formats within higher education.
- Experience serving on or chairing dissertation and thesis committees.
- Experience as a program coordinator.
- Strong knowledge of teacher and educational leadership disciplines.
- Evidence of ability to conduct research.
