Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The KSU Department of Dance is the most extensive collegiate dance program in Georgia, offering rigorous and holistic classes, professional-level training, and wide-ranging performance opportunities. The program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance and emphasizes artistic excellence, creative research, and scholarly achievement. Students work with accomplished faculty and guest artists from regional, national, and international settings.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Dance for the academic year . These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the lower division, including but not limited to, Dance and Society.
  • Teaching in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Required:

    A minimum of a master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Dance or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

  • Professional teaching experience, along with at least seven years of professional experience in the field at the time of hire.
  • Preferred: A minimum of two years collegiate and/or professional teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
