Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time faculty positions in the Department of Engineering Technology for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in the mechanical engineering technology program (e.g., welding and fabrication for engineers).
- At least 7 years of exceptional professional experience related to the courses being taught.
- Knowledge of AWS welding symbology (interpretation and application).
- Knowledge of destructive and non‑destructive welding tests. Knowledge of welding discontinuities and the prevention thereof.
- Knowledge and ability to teach students (hands‑on) basic SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW exercises.
- Knowledge of general fabrication processes including forming, shearing, punching, fixturing.
- An earned bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree, or its foreign equivalent, in engineering or closely related field.
- Certified Solid Works Professional Certification or better.
- Expertise in mechanics, machining, and/or manufacturing is a plus.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Significant relevant work experience.
- College‑level teaching, and online teaching.
