Position DetailsJob Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in Interactive Design in the Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design for the academic year 2025 - 2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials.
These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
- Teaching undergraduate courses in Interactive Design (IAD) or TCID-prefixed classes. We have a specific need for faculty to teach undergraduate classes in front-end development (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to interaction design students; however, candidates who can teach in any area of these curricula may be considered. Assignments are based on need and may be up to three courses per semester. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Interactive Design or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- For candidates teaching front-end development, a bachelor’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Interactive Design or a closely related field and seven years or more of professional experience may be considered in lieu of graduate coursework.
