Locations
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
INED promotes inclusive education for all by advancing language, literacy, and learning across multidisciplinary educational environments in research, teaching, and community-engaged partnerships. The INED department excels in preparing educators to meet the needs of marginalized groups through specialized concentrations in the high-need areas of Special Education, and TESOL. We aim to be leaders in the national discourse on literacy by emphasizing the use of evidence-based practices in language and literacy for ESOL and specialized populations.
We integrate innovative approaches, such as the Universal Design and Avatar Labs, to provide personalized, field-based instruction. Our focus on family and community engagement, alongside asynchronous learning options, ensures a tailored, intentional approach that aligns with the KSU values of inclusivity and respect. Faculty are deeply engaged with students and the community while conducting impactful research, exemplifying our commitment to making a difference in education.
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Inclusive Education for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in special education. Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
To teach undergraduate courses:
- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Special Education or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- OR a minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To Teach Graduate Courses
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Special Education or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
- Record of past teaching of graduate and/or undergraduate courses in special education
- 3 or more years teaching in PreK-12 grade classrooms
