Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of English in the Department of English with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching General Education courses in First-Year Composition.
- Teaching a 5/4 load with university service obligation (90% teaching, 10% service).
- Teaching via face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. The preferred modalities for First-Year Composition are face-to-face and hybrid.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master's Degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a closely related field is required at the time of hire.
- A record of effective college/university teaching.
- Demonstrated skill teaching college composition via at least three years teaching experience.
- Preparation to teach via varied modalities.
- Graduate training in rhetoric and composition.
- Familiarity with and application of High Impact Practices (HIPs).
- Experience teaching multimodal writing.
