Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
The History and Philosophy Department prepares students for adaptable, fulfilling careers by teaching transferable knowledge and skills through research, analysis of evidence, and effective written and oral communication. Students study societies, cultures, and economies across broad chronological and geographical spectra to become informed global citizens and problem solvers.
The Norman J. Radow College of Humanities & Social Sciences supports workforce readiness and offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs. The College emphasizes leadership, critical thinking, and civic engagement.

Job SummaryKennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of History and Philosophy for the academic year . These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. Work will be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching general education undergraduate courses in History
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in History or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
- Record of past teaching undergraduate students in History
