Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology offers a comprehensive and innovative education in core domains of the life sciences including molecular biology, microbiology, developmental biology, and genetics. Our curriculum is enhanced through real‑world skills‑building, inquiry‑based courses, experiential learning, and training opportunities in state‑of‑the‑art research and teaching facilities. Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open‑rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

• Teaching undergraduate courses, including lectures and/or laboratories as needed, in introductory biology (introductory cell biology section), genetics, cell biology, microbiology, and/or other courses with cell and molecular‑related content.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
