Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides artistic and administrative leadership for all collaborative piano activities within the School of Music. Ensures high standards of musical partnership across applied studios, ensembles, and divisions by performing in various collaborative roles and assignment of staff pianist responsibilities. Ensures that pianists are prepared to serve as effective musical partners and that all collaborative functions enhance the artistic and educational mission of the School of Music.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides piano accompaniment for the full range of musical applications in support of Bailey School of Music faculty and students
  • Coordinates collaborative piano activities, including rehearsals, performances, and personnel assignments to meet programmatic and artistic needs
  • Organizes and supports faculty and student performances
  • Manages personnel assignments for all degree recitals
  • Provides and assigns vocal, instrumental, and chamber coaching for student performances
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of university-level performance experience with evidence of substantial collaborative piano work.

Preferred Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge of vocal and instrumental repertoire and techniques.

  • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
  • Advanced piano performance and collaborative skills
  • Exceptional collaborative musicianship skills
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
