Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (for the Health and Physical Activity Leadership Program) for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials.
These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
- Teaching undergraduate courses in the health & physical activity leadership program which include, but are not limited to HPE 3450:
Curriculum, Instruction and Management for Early Childhood Physical Education, HPAL 3750:
Adapted Physical Education, and HPE 4850:
Student Teaching in Health and Physical Education (P-12). These courses are delivered in person.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Health and Physical Education, an MAT or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Health and PE Teacher Certification
- Experience teaching in kindergarten through 12th grade
- Experience in teaching in higher education
- Experience in student teacher supervision
