The School of Data Science and Analytics (SDSA) offers programs from undergraduate to PhD levels and partners with internal and external entities to address business and societal challenges in data science, analytics, and applied statistics.

Responsibilities- Teach a range of graduate and undergraduate courses in data science, analytics, and/or applied statistics, with a commitment to improving teaching through scholarly approaches and curricular development.
- Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and seek/external funding.
- Lead the School's research development efforts and mentor junior faculty to grow the School’s research profile.
- Foster collaborations with internal units and external institutions.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities with federal, state, local and industry stakeholders; promote funding-seeking activities within the School.
- Mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in research.
- Provide service to the School, College, University, and professional community.
- Substitute for the School Director as needed and perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A Ph.D. in Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related discipline, required at time of hire.
- A well-established research record with substantial external funding.
- A proven record in teaching and student supervision.
- Promoted to at least Associate Professor.
- Prior success in obtaining extramural funding as leading investigator.
