The Sr. Consultant role at Car Max Auto Finance (CAF) is responsible for supporting the discovery and delivery of a suite of products that are valuable and usable for the Car Max Auto Finance business and feasible to implement from a technology and business point of view. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with and support different teams in the discovery and creation of next generation tools and processes to provide a better experience to CAF customers and associates – positioning CAF as a best-in-class Auto Finance company.

A candidate will support project and product work, user experience and performance metrics of the project or product, and strategy and communication dashboards. In addition, ensuring the initiative goals are aligned with the broader program strategy and identifying contingencies and dependencies on other initiatives.

• Document thought leadership and tie asks to already inventoried initiatives, considering Associate and Customer implications and enhancement asks.
• Provide quantitative data and insights, in collaboration with business for the organizational strategic plan's progress.
• Grow knowledge of the following as it relates to the Product/Program:
  • Customer needs, pain-points and opportunities.
  • The business, the stakeholder needs, and constraints.
  • The retail, finance, and automotive industries.
  • How technology is being applied to power the customer experience from purchase through ownership.

• Monitor capacity planning for cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and business owners to drive prioritization and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Perform project methodology or playbook quality checkpoints before implementation.
• Facilitate meetings to discuss and coordinate with Strategic Planning and Delivery partners for coordination and creation of communications and presentations for project, product, and strategic initiatives.
• Track, document and communicate CAF House strategic goal and budget status.
• Track, document, and communicate project and product initial ROI metrics, partnering with data team partners to collect input needed.
• Build relationships with key business partners to ensure product, project plans are aligned with company objectives/plans.
• Manage coordination and communication needs for vendor contacts.
• Enhance guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures to drive improvements to internal product program management and development processes; maintain comprehensive program documentation.
• Identify change management or ADKAR needs; help create change management documentation.
• Assist with tracking ROI metrics and communications.
• Assist in the prioritization, initiative alignment and status reporting of the Strategic Plan.
• Assist in providing input to the Project Managers with initiative launch and budget/associate needs.
• Create training initial drafts and partner with business, CAF Learning and training to best serve CAF and identify training needs for process, projects, initiatives, and strategy updates.
• Monitor and report on program risk and issues.
• Prepare program status reports and review with leadership.

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3+1-2 years’ experience in program and/or product management or a related field.
• Experience working with modern technology stacks and partnering with software engineers strongly preferred.
