Primary Location for Job Responsibilities Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Job Summary

Supports the department in coordinating, scheduling, and managing campus events and reservations. Ensures the smooth operation of the reservations system platform and provides excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the daily operations and maintenance of the event and reservation system
  • Supports users with event submissions, approvals, and troubleshooting
  • Monitors event requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional policies
  • Collaborates with UITS to create training materials for end users
  • Assists with maintenance and updates of location data, resources, and organizational information
  • Oversees, trains, coordinates, and monitors activity for assigned student assistants for event coordination
  • Provides training and guidance to campus users on platform functionality and best practices
  • Assists in the development and documentation of business processes and procedures
  • Participates in system testing, upgrades, and implementation of new features
  • Generates reports and analytics to support event planning and space utilization and communicates data to department leadership
  • Supports university and department events as assigned
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Qualifications
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of related work experience with event and reservations systems.
Preferred Qualifications Additional

Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in one or more relevant professional associations
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in event planning and/or management
  • Previous experience in event management software (i.e., EMS, 25

  • Experience with event planning, scheduling systems, and/or administrative support

  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
