About the Role
As a Staff Accountant, you'll be a vital member of our accounting team, supporting essential financial operations and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. You'll take ownership of key accounting functions, from month-end close processes to customer billing and vendor management. This position offers the perfect blend of technical accounting work and strategic financial reporting in a collaborative environment that values quality, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead month-end and quarter-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support internal and external audits with thorough documentation and analysis
- Conduct GL account analyses, reconciliations, and prepare monthly accrual entries
- Compile and analyze monthly financial reports to support strategic decision-making
Accounts Receivable & Payable Management
- Manage the complete invoicing cycle and ensure timely customer billing
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively facilitate collections
- Process daily cash applications and handle vendor invoice payment
- Reconcile vendor statements and manage sales tax reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Accounting Manager on strategic initiatives and process improvements
- Contribute to company-wide continuous improvement efforts
- Bring a customer service mindset to all internal and external interactions
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (v-lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing procedures
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with leading ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central is a plus)
