Entry-Level Engineering Technician (Early Career / New Grads Welcome)

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for an Entry-Level Engineering Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Kennebunk, Maine
. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a technical or scientific background who want to learn directly from experienced engineers and build a long-term career in manufacturing.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Process Engineers and Production Managers
, gaining exposure to advanced surface treatments, manufacturing processes, and production equipment.
- Position: Full-time, temp-to-perm (starts as a temporary role with strong potential to convert to permanent after a few months of solid performance)
- Pay: $20–$22 per hour
- Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
What You’ll Learn & Do
- Assist engineers by running customer prototypes across multiple industries
- Support development and improvement of surface treatment processes (surface prep, coating, nitriding, etc.)
- Operate and learn advanced equipment including PVD coating machines, polishing equipment, and production lines
- Help troubleshoot process and equipment issues
- Create and update procedures and work instructions
- Participate in problem-solving and preventative action planning with engineering and quality teams
- Train production staff on equipment operation as you gain experience
- Identify process improvements to increase reliability and efficiency
- Support testing and characterization activities in the quality lab
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Comfortable following written and verbal instructions
- Basic Excel skills (data entry, basic analysis)
- Exposure to Solid Works or other CAD software is a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a manufacturing environment
