Delivery Specialist

Overview

O’Reilly Auto Parts is looking for a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Pay Range: $16.66 - $23.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure daily inspections are completed prior to operation.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of each day.
• Clock in/out in accordance with company policy.
• Additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, assisting customers, serving as cashier, and helping with merchandising tasks.

• Must have a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Fluency in multiple languages is desired;
  Spanish highly desired.
• Familiarity with automotive parts is desirable.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment is desirable.
