Are you a Financial Accountant who loves improving processes, strengthening financial controls, and creating efficiency across Finance?
This is a new role that blends core financial accounting deliverables with the opportunity to streamline and uplift financial processes across the organisation.
Working closely with the Manager – Financial Accounting
, you will support month end activities, reconciliations, compliance obligations, and audit preparation while driving improvements that will enhance accuracy, transparency and ultimately the way the Finance team operates.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys analysing processes, engaging stakeholders, and turning improvement ideas into better, smarter ways of working.
What You Will Do- Support key financial accounting activities, e.g. month-end management accounts, year‑end audit, financial statements preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support statutory reporting and compliance requirements, e.g. acquittal of grant funding, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures, etc.
- Review, map and uplift core finance processes, embedding best‑practice accounting and improved governance.
- Design, recommend and implement process improvements aligned with business and strategic objectives.
- Maintain robust process documentation and templates to ensure consistency and transparency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver continuous improvement outcomes.
You are an initiative‑taking problem‑solver with a strong financial accounting background and a passion for continuous improvement. You balance diligence with an ability to think systemically, and you enjoy making finance processes clearer, faster, and more reliable.
You bring- A degree or advanced diploma in accounting, finance, or similar.
- CA or CPA will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Proven experience with process improvement in a complex accounting environment.
- Strong experience in month‑end processes, and financial reporting in a multi‑entity and multi cost centre environment.
- Advanced competency with accounting systems, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Drive initiatives that deliver long-term financial sustainability and operational excellence.
