Youth Wellness Advocate (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Location: Adolescent Wellness Academy – Kendall (On-Site)
Employment Type: Part-Time; M-F 8:30am-11:30am
The Youth Wellness Advocate is a key member of the care team at Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA), supporting a safe, structured, and emotionally supportive environment for adolescents in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role bridges client supervision, family interaction, and clinical support, helping ensure consistency, safety, and positive engagement throughout the evening program.
This is an ideal role for someone who is calm under pressure, comfortable working with teens, and passionate about mental health and family support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supervision and structure for adolescents ages 13–17 during evening IOP sessions
- Monitor client safety during transitions, breaks, groups, and unstructured times
- Support clinicians in maintaining program flow and therapeutic schedules
- Greet and assist families at drop-off and pick-up with professionalism and warmth (in English and Spanish)
- Manage front desk responsibilities including phones, attendance tracking, and sign-in/out
- Assist with wellness check-ins, incident documentation, and real‑time updates to leadership
- Respond to escalated behaviors using trauma‑informed strategies and crisis protocols
- Support program operations with light administrative and organizational tasks
- Fluent in both English and Spanish Preferred
- Experience working with adolescents in school, clinical, or community settings strongly preferred
- Ideal for students or recent graduates in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related fields
- Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and professionalism with both teens and parents
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, in‑person environment
