Driver Hire Lancaster is recruiting for a Relief HGV Class 2 Driver for a fantastic opportunity based near Kendal. This position is part‑time work and is ideal for someone semi‑retired or looking for relief work to cover holidays and sickness.

You’ll be working with a friendly, family‑run business, transporting goods to and from farms within the local area. You’ll be required to handle farm collections and deliveries – with the use of a tail lift and pallet truck for safe and efficient loading and unloading.

• Farm collections and deliveries

• Use of tail lift and pallet truck

• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely and professional manner

• Complete required paperwork and vehicle checks

• Support the team in covering holidays and sickness leave as required

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence

• Previous driving experience (HGV Class
  2)

• Good knowledge of local area (ideally Kendal and surrounding areas)

• Friendly, positive attitude – great customer service skills required

• Flexibility to work early start times (between 3am and 8am)

• Ability to work independently and represent a family‑run business

• Competitive pay: £15.80 per hour - PAYE ADV
