Sales Advisor

heightec is a well established provider of specialist height safety training and equipment. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sales Advisor to work in a small, busy team, securing sales and growing our market share with existing and potential clients. This is a permanent, full time position.

The role of the Sales Advisor is to provide accurate and relevant advice to customers about our products and training services together with prompt recording of customer information and driving sales results.

• Maintain regular contact with allocated accounts with the aim of generating regular orders
• Keep customer information up to date on database
• Providing expert advice on products and services
• Develop new business by proactive contact with prospective customers
• Issue and follow up on quotations and process sales orders
• Negotiate sales through to conclusion
• Develop new business by proactive contact with prospective customers
• Develop customer knowledge in defined market sectors
• Coordinate with other Sales and Marketing team members to effectively allocate resource and optimse processes
• Continue professional development of technical product knowledge
• Support Sales Coordinator and Head of Sales and Marketing as required
• Be a positive role model for the Sales and Marketing team and embody company values: integrity, innovation and excellence

You should have previous sales experience within an office environment. Knowledge of SAGE accounting would be an advantage as well as using a contacts database.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate and influence others.

Highly organised and comfortable working with data and systems

Product knowledge of work at height landscape, rigging, rescue, rope work or climbing ideal but not essential. Ability to develop knowledge in these areas is required.

A high standard of numeracy and literacy is required and an ability to use MS Office and Sage an advantage.
