Registered Care Manager - Extra Care Housing
Location:
Kendal and Penrith
Hours:
Full-time (37.5 hours per week, with flexibility as required)
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Registered Care Manager to lead and oversee extra care housing services across two locations in Kendal and Penrith.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Registered Care Manager, you will:
- Hold overall accountability for the delivery of high-quality care services within agreed budgets
- Provide strong, visible leadership to Assistant Managers and care teams
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain a minimum “Good” CQC rating
- Lead the implementation of business objectives, quality assurance, and governance systems
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and best practice requirements
- Represent the organisation professionally with external partners and regulatory bodies
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a care management role
- Proven experience in staff recruitment, supervision, development, and performance management
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and health & social care governance
- Experience working within extra care or community-based services
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage budgets, health & safety, and complex operational challenges
- Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel between sites
