Peace Health is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer Ambulatory for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Be the Expert:
    Perform a full range of high‑quality diagnostic sonographic examinations independently.
  • Connect with Patients:
    Dedicate the necessary time to comfort and educate patients, fully explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Exercise Autonomy:
    Use your independent clinical judgment to customize each exam, integrate patient history, lab results, and previous imaging, ensuring the most diagnostic information is captured.
  • Collaborate and Communicate:
    Quickly summarize diagnostic data and communicate with interpreting and ordering physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage Your Day:
    Efficiently organize your daily schedule, ensuring exam rooms are prepared and maintained.
  • Maintain Equipment:
    Handle equipment maintenance, calibration, and supply ordering to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Ultrasound Sonography or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 2 years diagnostic ultrasound experience in acute care or clinic setting preferred.
  • Required:

    Current certification/registration/licensure as required by the State.
  • Required:

    Basic Life Support (BLS) upon Hire.
Required Certifications
  • ARDMS OB/GYN and ARDMS Abdomen credentials are required.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) credential is required.
Timeframe for New Hires/Graduates

If you do not already hold these credentials, you have 12 months from your hire date to obtain:

  • ARDMS OB/GYN
  • ARDMS Abdomen

You have 12 months from your hire date to obtain:

  • RVT or RVS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates who already hold ARDMS OB/GYN, ARDMS Abdomen, and RVT or RVS are highly preferred.
  • At a minimum, ARDMS Abdomen is preferred at the time of hire.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $43.03 – $64.55 per hour. The final hiring rate is determined by several factors, including education, training, work experience, and seniority.
