Personal Assistant

A lady living in her own home in Kelso is looking to recruit Personal Assistants to join a small team of PAs to provide daily support.

Support will be provided at key points throughout the day to assist with routines and ensure safety, comfort, and wellbeing.

• 10.5 hours per week
• Hours will be worked across morning, late afternoon and bedtime visits
• Days and times to be agreed as part of a small PA team

• £13.20 per hour
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks, calculated on a pro‑rata basis
• Probationary period of 6 months

• Support with morning routine
• Assist with getting dressed
• Prepare and support with breakfast
• Prompt and support with medication

• Heat and serve a prepared meal
• Prompt and support with eating
• Prompt and support with medication

• Support with night‑time routine
• Assist with changing into nightwear
• Leave a drink and prompt hydration
• Prompt and support with medication
  
  Ensure the client is safe and comfortable before leaving

• To support the client to ensure her safety and wellbeing
• To promote independence where possible
• To observe and report any changes in wellbeing
• To maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• To work positively as part of a small team of Personal Assistants

• Previous care experience desirable but not essential
• Experience with medication prompting would be beneficial
• Willingness to undertake training as required
