About the Role

As a Market Research Professional
, you will plan and execute a wide range of research projects in a fast‑paced environment. Depending on experience, the position may be listed as Senior Research Associate, Research Manager, or Senior Research Manager. You will design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, translate findings into clear, actionable insights, and contribute to our ongoing innovation initiatives using applied A.I. tools.

What You Will Do Research design and execution
  • Develop surveys, discussion or interview guides, sampling plans, and research methodologies for qualitative and quantitative studies.
  • Moderate focus groups and conduct in‑depth or key informant interviews (with training and support as needed).
  • Interpret qualitative and quantitative data to formulate evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Conduct secondary research, including literature reviews and best‑practice studies.
  • Coordinate participants, logistics, and scheduling for focus groups and other research activities.
Analysis, reporting, and client support
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative data: coding, theme identification, and narrative development.
  • Work with tabular survey results to identify patterns, trends, and key drivers.
  • Integrate multiple sources—qualitative findings, survey data, secondary research—into a coherent narrative.
  • Write research reports and generate actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, visually engaging client reports that make complex topics understandable for non‑experts.
  • Present research results and recommendations to clients, with increasing independence at senior levels.
Project management and collaboration
  • Manage own research activities across multiple projects.
  • At senior levels, manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget‑conscious delivery.
  • Serve as client contact for status updates, meetings, and day‑to‑day communication.
  • Collaborate with Research Directors, Managers, Associates, Data Analysts, Field Managers, and survey interviewers to deliver high‑quality work.
  • Senior staff contribute to business development activities such as proposal writing, budgeting, and scoping.
Innovation, methods, and tools
  • Utilize customized A.I. tools for research.
  • Participate in MQO’s applied A.I. and innovation efforts to test and provide feedback on new tools, modules, and methods.
  • Stay current with emerging research methodologies, technologies, and best practices, and propose their application to client work.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word to manage data, analysis, and reporting.
About You

You have a curious mind, a passion for research, and a strong writing capability. You transform raw research inputs—transcripts, interview notes, open‑ended responses, data tables—into concise, structured reports that drive client decisions. You may come from a traditional market research background or an adjacent field such as social science research, program evaluation, journalism, policy development, or communications.

What matters most is that you:
  • Are motivated by answering real‑world questions with evidence.
  • Have strong skills or aptitude in qualitative research: focus groups, interviews, qualitative coding, thematic analysis.
