Position: Maintenance Manager (Landscape Maintenance)

Services Manager – OKV (Landscape Maintenance)
Full-Time | Permanent | Okanagan Valley, BC

As part of our continued growth in the Okanagan, we’re looking for a strong operational leader to partner with the Branch Manager and help build, manage, and grow our OKV Services Department — starting with Maintenance as the core focus.

The Opportunity
As our  Services Manager , you will be the operational heartbeat of the Maintenance Division. You’ll lead crews, strengthen client relationships, drive business development, and ensure production, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, proactively managing workload, and developing a high-performance, accountable team culture.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Client & Operations Leadership

Primary point of contact for summer clients (supporting winter clients as needed)

Manage scheduling, workload planning, conflict resolution, and final invoice review

Lead production, quality control, and crew training

Run crew meetings and assist with orientations

Support field teams when needed

Business Development & Growth

Build and nurture local relationships through warm and cold outreach

Support procurement and quoting/estimating of new work

Assist with budget creation and strategy to achieve divisional targets

Collaborate with the Director of Services on proven processes and systems

People & Culture

Review and approve payroll

Complete HR and Safety documentation (pay changes, discipline, reporting, toolbox talks, FLRAs, incident reports)

Support recruiting, training, and safety initiatives

Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with the Regional Manager

Equipment & Seasonal Planning

Manage repairs and maintenance of in-house tools and equipment

Oversee supply and equipment ordering with tracking systems

Complete all pre- and post-season preparation and reporting

What You Bring
Experience & Education

Post‑secondary education in an industry‑related field (required)

3–5+ years of supervisory experience

2+ years of administrative experience (asset)

Experience driving truck and trailer (required)

Red Seal or landscape‑related certifications (CHT, CLM, ISA) are an asset

Heavy Trailer Endorsement & Fall Protection Certification (assets)

Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership presence with excellent communication skills

Confident in conflict resolution and negotiation

Highly organized with strong tracking and systems mindset

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong customer service orientation

Knowledge of the Okanagan Valley and route planning an asset

Demonstrated safe driving record

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000–$90,000 base salary  (based on experience)

20 days paid time off (15 vacation + 5 sick days)

Extended health, dental & vision (after 90 days)

RRSP matching (after 1 year)

Km reimbursement for personal vehicle usage

Company tech package (laptop + cell phone/tablet)

Work Environment
This role blends office and field leadership. You’ll spend time in a professional office setting and outdoors supporting crews in all weather conditions — heat, cold, rain, and wind.

The role requires standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and maintaining overall physical readiness for site support.
