What this job involves
JLL is hiring a team member to provide janitorial services at Cherry Lane Shopping Centre. A primary focus of this role will be ensuring the food court is kept clean and tidy for guests. The typical shift is a 40 hour work week including weekends. You must be available during shopping centre hours.
Your day-to-day will look like- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing or vacuuming
- Gather and empty trash and recycling.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Operate vacuums, sweepers and other equipment as usually associated with janitorial services.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees using appropriate solutions, tools and equipment.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, to clean under them either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Clear debris from grounds.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs and assist as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset
- Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Willingness to learn
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability work evening and weekends and flexibility to provide coverage as needed.
