Con-Test is a Canadian leader in controlled environment testing and certification. Our experienced technicians test and certify clean rooms, biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, HEPA filtration, and other critical ventilation equipment for universities, hospitals, laboratories, compounding pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

We are searching for someone to join our team in Southern Ontario as our next Field Service Technician (Controlled Environments). In this role, you will play a criticalpartin keeping laboratories, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, and research environments safe and compliantthroughtesting and certifying critical equipment. In this role, you will develop skills in advanced diagnostics and direct client engagement through structured,fieldbasedtraining.

This role is ideal for someone who values variety, enjoys travel, and wants to build a technical career with purpose in regulated, high-impact environments.
Travel within the region is required for this role.

Compensation for this role is between $23.00 and $26.00 paid per hour based on experience.

The day-to-day activities of our Field Service Technician will include:

Service Delivery- Testing and certifying biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, clean benches, and cleanroom environments in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.

Perform diagnostics and minor repairs; elevate complex issues when needed.

Collaboration and communication -Collaborate with supervisors, Regional Managers, and internal teams to ensure quality work and satisfied customers. Provide excellent customer service when communicating findings to clients, explaining results,and offering guidance on equipment use and maintenance.

Drive to expand skills and knowledge - Commitment to continuous learning through hands-on training, technical development, and ongoing expansion of skills and certifications.

Commitment to Safety - Demonstratea strong commitment to safety by maintaining a safe work environment for all team members, conducting hazard assessments, and documenting any incidents or near misses.

Travel to client sites across the region using safe driving practices.

The right candidate willdemonstratethe following qualifications on their resume and in the phone pre-screen:

Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools inpreviousroles.

Past working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, or motor repairis beneficial.

Ability toconductbasic calculations and interpret measurements related to airflow, pressure, and filtration systems.

The understanding of technical documentation, including manufacturer guidelines,Standard Operating Procedures , and industry standardsincluding

NSF/ANSI, ISO,NEBBetc.is an asset.

A successful candidate must be able to passpre-employment andpre-access drug, cannabis and alcohol testsandmaintainsa Class 5 driver’s license with a clean 3-year Driver’s Abstract and three years of insured driving history.
