Location: Osoyoos
The Pool Bar Server provides poolside food & beverage service exclusively to the guests staying at Watermark Beach Resort located in beautiful Osoyoos, BC. The Pool Bar Server's job is to provide excellent poolside service, take orders, deliver items, handle payments, and create a fun atmosphere, while maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, upselling specials, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
This position requires exceptional guest service, sales skills, desire to learn and educate on food and wine, team morale and a dedication to a fun yet professional and reliable work environment. This position requires ability to handle high volumes and be versatile and flexible within the pool deck as well as behind the bar preparing beverages.
- Provide consistent and exceptional service to all hotel guests with in the pool facilities at Watermark Beach Resort.
- Provide assistance to other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the operation and the hotel
- Completes all restocking and cleaning duties.
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the Pool Area, the Pool Bar and service station.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
- Able to assist guests with their immediate needs as well as cross sell other outlets and resort amenities.
- Knowledge of property, surrounding area and attractions.
- Presents the property and the business in a positive manner for all enquiries
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Prepare beverages to order from the pool bar area
- Serve all food and beverage items for Watermark guests visiting the pool deck area
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and menu items being served
- Full setup and break down of pool bar equipment and inventory
- Periodically assist in banquet functions on the banquet floor as needed including setups, service and tear down.
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work as a team player in a busy pool area or banquet floor
- A smooth sales style of selling Food and Beverage to customers
- Great physical shape as you will be holding a tray all day and helping to move tables
- Able to be on your feet all day
- A polished style of service
- Able to work in the heat
- BC Serving it Right or another provinces equivalent of responsible beverage service certification
