Staff Pharmacist

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations, providing patient care during consultations or file reviews.

• Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
• Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Manager and stakeholders.
• Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
• Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models and counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Execute processes as per Walmart's best ways/SOPs.
• Operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system, etc.), protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, and follow provincial regulations set by the regulatory body.
• Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific patient needs.
• Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours; assist the Pharmacy Manager to execute the business action plan and meet corporate goals.

• Age 16 or older.
• Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta:  - Additional Prescribing Authorization).
