Psychiatrist - Tertiary

Role Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing management where required for youth (age 14 and over) and adults impacted by developmental disabilities and concurrent mental illness with significant complexity.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients based on outcomes and recommendations of assessment.

Core Competencies

• Strong psychopharmacologic skills with capacity to understand applicable research and novel therapeutics.
• Understand the impact of pre‑morbid neurodevelopmental disorders on mental illness.
• Understand and appreciate different therapeutic techniques and adaptations necessary for patients with neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Thorough experience and ability to participate in team‑based care interventions working in partnership with allied health professionals.
