A career as a Section Manager in the Equipment Financing team at National Bank means contributing as a credit team player and risk specialist. This position allows you to have a positive impact on our organisation thanks to your expertise in risk management, loan structuring, credit underwriting and leadership.

Your job

• Ensure profitable business growth and effective risk management, while complying with National Bank's policies and risk appetite.

• Manage and support a small team of underwriting professionals within the BC credit region, ensuring their development and performance.

• Assess and adjudicate credit applications within assigned limits, based on strong attention to detail, rigorous analysis and in-depth knowledge of risk mitigation strategies.

• Comply with service agreements and operational processes to support sales objectives while ensuring a solid risk management framework.

• Maintain close working relationships with internal stakeholders in order to offer value-added services and foster the growth of loans and new clients.

Prerequisites

• Post-secondary studies related to business administration or equivalent work experience

• At least 6 years of experience in financial services, risk management, banking or commercial loans, including direct experience in team management.

• Proficiency in credit approval, with advanced skills in financial statement analysis and risk mitigation strategies
