ISL’s Buildings and Structures Sector is comprised of technologists, engineers, project management and other professionals specializing in a wide variety of building structures including Mass Timber, Heritage and Building Enclosures.

About the Role
By joining this team you are enabling your own success as you learn from multidisciplinary professionals across British Columbia, Yukon, Calgary, Edmonton, Canmore and Saskatoon.
Your projects will primarily be located in the South Okanagan, but you will have the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary projects across all of the ISL offices. Responsibilities will include:
Prepare detailed structural engineering designs/drawings from concept, through tender to construction for a wide variety of projects including commercial, recreational, municipal, industrial, and residential buildings, in various structural materials (mass timber, light-frame wood, concrete, and steel).
Assemble and review structural deliverables in collaboration with other team members
Review and coordinate deliverables with other project team members including architectural, civil, landscape, process, mechanical, electrical, contractors and suppliers as each project requires
Actively participate in project meetings
Complete assessments and prepare reports for various buildings and structures
Support construction administration objectives and perform field reviews and follow-up reporting. This will include local travel, but may extend to locations throughout Western Canada, as required.
Complete submittal and shop drawing reviews and respond to queries that arise…
