At Kelowna General Hospital (KGH), we’re looking to add a diagnostic radiologist with fellowship training to our team of 16 diagnostic and interventional radiologists.
At the hospital, we have four CT scanners, two MRIs including a 3
Tesla magnet, and a department expansion underway to add two new MRI units, a brand-new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography, and a PET scanner located at the adjacent BCCA. We are currently the only IH site performing MRI-guided breast biopsies. At our three clinics, we perform X-ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography. The procedural requirements for diagnostic radiologists are predominantly biopsies and drainages.
All vascular intervention, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work are handled by the IR team.
We welcome new graduates or those interested in locum opportunities during the recruitment process. All radiologists have access to home reporting and home reporting rotations.

Kelowna General HospitalKelowna General Hospital (KGH), one of BC’s leading healthcare centres, is one of two tertiary hospitals within Interior Health. We offer a full range of services with approximately 400 beds and over 84,000 emergency department visits a year.
Home to the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC), KGH houses BC’s only cardiac critical care centre outside of Victoria and the Lower Mainland, as well as its principal surgical site. The IHSC features 12 specialized operating rooms designed for thoracic, urology, neurosurgery, vascular, plastic, obstetric/gynecologic, ear, nose, and throat, orthopedic, general, and trauma surgeries. Of these, two operating rooms are dedicated to cardiac surgery.
Within the IHSC, KGH also has a modern maternity ward and an adjacent neonatal intensive care unit.
Our state-of-the-art Centennial Building boasts 360,000 square feet and includes an expanded emergency and ambulatory care department, new medical inpatient units, modern operating rooms, and a rooftop helipad. Additional facilities include a dedicated pediatric ward, as well as adolescent and adult psychiatry units. The Dr. Walter Anderson Building houses enhanced laboratory and clinical departments, supporting advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
KGH is also a teaching centre for the Southern Medical Program, affiliated with the University of British Columbia (UBC), and has an academic campus that serves as a satellite for the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
