OverviewShorr Packaging is looking for a National Account Manager to identify, target, and close national account opportunities within 3PL, e‑Commerce, manufacturing, life sciences and integrator segments. Frequent travel to customer corporate locations and satellite sites throughout North America is required.
Responsibilities- Identify national account opportunities outside of Shorr Packaging.
- Maintain an active list of targeted accounts.
- Build and implement strategies to bring opportunities to a close.
- Engage with Director of National Accounts and Branch Management to identify an AE to fulfill opportunity obligations.
- Work with regional AEs to identify and close national account opportunities.
- Guide assigned AE on implementation of sales strategy to close accounts.
- Focus on 3PL, e‑Commerce, manufacturing, life sciences and integrator business segments.
- Use CRM to qualify that accounts are new to Shorr Packaging (more than 12 months since last purchase).
- Utilize industry trade magazines, Zoom Info, and referrals to identify and list potential national account status suspects.
- Leverage relationships with vendors and industry partners to identify additional opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university.
- Minimum five years sales experience with a history of targeting and closing large opportunities.
- Packaging industry experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong business acumen and ability to work cohesively with the internal National Accounts team.
- Highly capable of managing complex tasks and timelines.
- Minimum 25% national travel expected.
The targeted compensation for this position is between $150K - $185K base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
