Position: Senior Accountant (Property/IPP)

We’re partnering with a well-established, highly regarded organization with a significant portfolio of income-producing assets across the Lower Mainland.

They’re adding a Senior Accountant to their team — someone who understands the rhythm of property accounting and enjoys owning the full financial picture of a portfolio. This is a hands‑on role with strong cross‑functional exposure and real impact.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of a portfolio of income‑producing properties. Reporting to senior leadership within operations accounting, this role works closely with property management and internal stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and operational alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and/or review monthly financial statements for income‑producing properties
  • Partner with property management to provide timely and accurate accounting information
  • Maintain lease and tenant information within Yardi
  • Review and ensure accuracy of rent rolls
  • Maintain capital asset continuity schedules
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Assist with preparation and/or review of annual CAM reconciliations
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly joint venture reporting
  • Calculate monthly management fees
  • Prepare journal entries and support full‑cycle accounting
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Support additional accounting initiatives as required
Experience & Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Accounting (CPA designation considered an asset)
  • 4+ years of full‑cycle property accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Yardi and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
