Overview

Sprouts Farmers Market is looking for a Vitamin Clerk to help customers discover the benefits of supplements and vitamins and educate them on healthier lifestyles. This role requires outstanding customer service in a fast‑paced, friendly environment.

Responsibilities

As a Vitamin Clerk you will:

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department.
  • Create and maintain department displays, accurately price all merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department.
  • Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within the proper parameters.
  • Stay familiar with events and seminars on the calendar.
  • Share knowledge of weekly ad items and give customers product location directions throughout the store.
  • Assist customers in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives (except safety cutters), ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactor, operating any motor/electronic equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age 16 years.
  • Dependable and reliable with flexible schedule, including night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Respect for others and alignment with Sprouts culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
  • Willingness to gain education on new products and alternative health.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive activities, multi‑task, prioritize and stay organized.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during shifts.
  • Capability to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. with force up to 35 lbs. for up to 2 hours and a distance up to 20 feet.
  • Walking up to 3 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
  • Compliance with all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights & Measures regulations.
  • Willingness to perform related duties as assigned.
