Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.

This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

** Role Purpose*
* Performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames. Participates in projects to improve overall process and technical efficience.

** What You'll Do*
* + Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot optical test and splice equipment, including calibration and minor repairs.

+ Provide technical support and training to customers and employees on installation, splicing, and testing of optical networks.

+ Manage equipment and warehouse operations, including inventory tracking (Salesforce), shipments, check-in procedures, and tool accountability.

+ Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant lab and warehouse environment.

+ Support daily Field Engineering operations and provide phone assistance to internal and external customers.

** Qualifications*
* + Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with proficiency in Excel and general PC applications.

+ Solid mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

+ Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

+ Results-driven, customer-focused, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.

** Experiences/Education*
* + High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience

+ Associates degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Physics or equivalent experience (Preferred)

+ 4 years of technical experience in the Telecommunications industry.

+ 2 years of experience with Corning optical products and components

** Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time*
* + Monday - Friday, standard business hours

+ Willingness to work outside of normal scheduled business hours when necessary

** Travel Requirements*
* + Up to 10%

* The range for this position is $59,089.00 - $81,248.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
