Retail Branch Manager
Woodforest National Bank is a privately owned, employee‑owned financial institution that helps families and small businesses serve their financial needs while contributing to local communities. The Retail Branch Manager leads a branch in a high‑growth region and is responsible for driving sales, building relationships, improving customer experience, and managing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services beneficial to the customer.
- Maintain the Woodforest culture and create energy around Retail objectives and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, retain and motivate staff to meet profitability, sales, customer‑experience, compliance, and growth objectives.
- Develop and lead innovative strategies to grow, retain and deepen consumer and business relationships.
- Proactively grow business deposits and loans through inside and outside business calling.
- Enhance customer experience and the bank’s reputation by sincerely greeting, engaging, and developing relationships with retail partners and customers.
- Embrace and lead a technology‑driven customer experience.
- Partner with a Community Development Relationship Manager to execute community engagement strategy.
- Inspire and lead team members to reach their full potential.
- Demonstrate flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proactive in seeking business outside the branch.
- Goal‑oriented, disciplined team leader with strong interpersonal skills, sales aptitude, and comfortable with outside sales.
- Open to direct coaching and feedback.
- Willing and able to work flexible or extended hours to meet business needs.
- Passionate about people, with effective problem‑solving, composure, and positive attitude toward customers and internal team.
- Quick learner of products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and sales & service processes.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, follow directions, and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

- Organization: Texas – DFW
- 5 years of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience.
- OR a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience.
- 1 year of experience leading and directing a sales team is required.
- Typically reports to an on‑site manager; mentors or leads a team of more junior staff but does not usually have formal management responsibility for personnel decisions.
- Previous in‑store banking experience is preferred, but not required.
- Must be positive and engaging.
- Preference for candidates who reside within the community.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Full‑Time.
- Responsible and accountable for all personnel and employment decisions at assigned branch/location.
- Up to 50% or more outside of branch or as needed by customer.
- Conditions include standing most of the time, may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
