All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you may create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime app.
Reliable attendance is necessary when you pick up shifts. You must engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You will be required to attend a Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.
After training, use the myTime app to pick shifts.
Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital capabilities that drive adoption and loyalty, and enable shopping experiences across checklanes, guest services, gift registry, and drive-up options.

- Explain Target Loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll and use them
- Explain how to use Wallet and Target App features
- Handle returns following register prompts and escalate to leaders as needed
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies
- Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
- Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-Up orders and returns, ensuring compliance with laws
- Support cash office processes as needed
- All other duties based on business needs

- Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) as needed
- Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; failure to work at least one shift within 5 months may lead to termination
- Work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout duties
- Remain mobile for the duration of a shift
