Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med Surg position in New Hampshire, requiring Epic experience and flexibility to float as needed.
Responsibilities
• Work in a Med Surg unit with an adult-geriatric patient population
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required if needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float to the Thompson Unit or provide care for custodial patients in the Kingsbury unit with higher ratios and lower acuity
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Professional, traveler-provided scrubs without logos required
• Responsibilities include direct patient care, patient and family education, and collaborating with ancillary staff
• Team-oriented work environment with emphasis on maintaining professional nursing standards
• All medical and occupational health requirements must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance
• No shift accommodations or scheduling requests will be accepted after submission; all requests must be made prior to offer
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted
• First-time travelers may not be specified as accepted or declined for this position
Requirements
• Active New Hampshire or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Willingness to float as assigned
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• Completion of a skills checklist current within one year and one supervisory reference from the past two years required
• Permanent address must be provided for consideration
• Local travelers living within 50 miles are not eligible
