Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN First Assist with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital operating room setting with five advanced OR suites and one additional suite in labor and delivery

• Diverse patient population including inpatients and outpatients across all age groups from infant to geriatric

• Surgical services focus on orthopedic and trauma cases with additional procedures in ENT, cataract removal, and C-sections

• Patient ratio is 1:1 during surgical procedures

• Day shift position with 40 hours per week

• Evening, weekend, and holiday call is required

• Willingness to be trained for ENT, cataract, and C-section procedures is expected

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary OR team including RN First Assists, CSTs, and other personnel

• The role involves caring for patients undergoing a variety of surgical, diagnostic, and invasive procedures

• Training will be provided for ENT, cataract, and C-section cases if candidate does not have prior experience

• Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the call rotation

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required

• Current BLS certification required

• Recent first assist experience in the operating room is mandatory

• Must have recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years

• No local candidates allowed; must live at least 75 miles from the facility
