Role specifics and benefits Role and responsibilities

As a Med Surg RN, you’ll assess and monitor patients with diverse medical conditions, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform wound care and pre/postoperative nursing tasks. You’ll collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the broader health care team to develop and execute patient care plans, coordinate discharges, educate patients and families, and document care accurately in electronic health records. You’ll be encouraged to apply evidence-based practices, participate in unit huddles, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

The position supports professional growth within the Med Surg specialty through mentorship, in‑house training, and exposure to a broad case mix that strengthens critical thinking, clinical judgment, and nursing leadership skills.
