Coordinator for Summer Programs

REPORTS TO:

District Supervisor of Federal Programs

DESCRIPTION:

Coordinator will be responsible for one or more of the summer programs being offered in the district. Programs will range from K-12 and will include the integration of extracurricular activities. Size and scope of the position will be determined by student enrollment.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Applicants must be available to work during ALL of the following:

* Planning, Development and Enrollment:
Spring 2026

* Program Dates:
June 29
- July 30

* Full program hours

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

The coordinator will handle matters pertaining to the summer programs including:

* Preparation for launch the of programs: student selection, material distribution, and other related matters;

* Creating themes and activities to engage students;

* Assisting teachers throughout the program;

* Communication with parents including facilitating parent meetings;

* Record keeping using Genesis and G Suite (Google).

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must hold NJ teaching certification and have significant experience working with struggling students;

* Staff development/ in-service presentation or project management experience preferred;
Previous experience working the summer program preferred;

* Previous experience working the summer program preferred;

* Supervisory certification preferred;

* Second language (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred.

REMUNERATION:

Remuneration will be in accordance with the applicable KEA Salary Guide.
