Basic

Function

Phyco Terra’s Regional Sales Managers own regional sales performance, retail relationships, and profit objectives. They design and recommend sales programs, develop detailed execution plans, and deliver both short- and long-term growth strategies. This role drives sales excellence by building and strengthening long-term partnerships with key retailers and growers, increasing regional volume, profitability, and market share.

Regional Sales Managers continuously elevate market and competitive knowledge to inform strategy and execution, and they recommend the Phyco Terra portfolio and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and ROI. They work closely with Marketing and Ag Science to deliver best-in-class training, education, and customer support, while also helping develop customer policies, programs, and systems aligned with the company’s strategic direction.

This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure exceptional service and clear, effective communication with customers.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing detailed territory business plan and strategic objectives to deliver increased sales volume and company ROI
  • Providing forecasts of future sales for company business management and projections.
  • Identifying and developing product channels to expand Phyco Terra market share
  • Cultivating relationships with key retailers and growers to solidify long‑term business growth
  • Working with Ag Science team to support and establish Retail and Grower trials to demonstrate product efficacy and establish customer support.
  • Soliciting, evaluating, and advocating for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service.
  • Working directly with internal marketing and technical resources in the development of products, product testing, data translation and collateral materials to maximize alignment of product and sales goals.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in agriculture science, agriculture marketing, crop science, agriculture business or related field
  • A background in agricultural sales with a minimum of 5 years’ agricultural sales experience
  • Track record of establishing and sustaining retail and grower relationships at all key levels to achieve desired results.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate key industry trends, consumer understanding, competitive landscape, brand marketing plans and category management into a detailed business plan which achieves mutual objectives.
  • Excellent relationship management experience with regional customers and clear understanding of those customers’ challenges and goals.
  • Must be located in the state of Iowa.
