Overview
Under general direction, performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance and care of the parks and park facilities. Work varies, requiring interpretative judgment within prescribed standards and procedures. Operate various types of trucks and light equipment. Perform manual labor in the maintenance and care of street medians/corridors, park grounds, amenities, and facilities. Help maintain equipment used in the maintenance of turf and park grounds.
Irrigate, water, mow, edge, aerate, control weeds, and maintain landscaped areas and turf. Maintain effective working relations with facility users. Assist with snow removal tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma/GED. Previous park maintenance or landscaping experience preferred. Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license. Ability to obtain Nebraska Pesticide Applicators License.

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids Used- Pickup, dump trucks, backhoe, tractors and attachments, bobcat, bucket truck, hand and power tools, two-way radios, sprayers, utility vehicles, mowers, weed whips, chain saw, tree spade and seeder.
