Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown / Minimum 2 years recent PCU or Stepdown experience required; must be competent with arterial lines / Active NE (or compact) RN license required at submission / Required

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS / 40-bed PCU (average daily census 24) in a Level II Trauma facility; adult population with cardiac med‑surg, dialysis, oncology, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, post‑stent, post‑pacemaker, and renal failure patients / Nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1:4–5 (days & nights) / RNs required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin; must read and interpret telemetry strips / Charge nurse takes an assignment;

PCT support 1:12 / RT equipment includes High Flow; overhead and portable lifts available; vein finders and bladder scanner on unit / Floating required to Med‑Surg or ICU (to take PCU‑level patients) /

Schedule:

12‑hour nights (18:30–06:30), 36 guaranteed hours/week; every other weekend; minimum 2 holidays during contract; block scheduling not guaranteed (weekends‑only may be considered); no duos needing same schedule / Orientation: 12 hours plus 1 unit‑specific shift; must pass open‑book exam with 90% during orientation (Wednesday testing) / EMR: EPIC / Dress code:
Navy blue; artificial nails prohibited / Radius rule: 50 miles (driver’s license required at submission); cannot be current FT/PT/PRN employee within Common Spirit/CHI/Dignity / RTO must be submitted upfront (max 7 days per 13‑week contract) /Pay package negotiable
